(11) Instruction sheet
Place a thumb on textured area, lift cover tab, slide
cover rearward, and lift off.
To remove cassette cover To re-install cassette cover
Install cover, place thumb on textured area and with
slight downward pressure, slide cover forward
to lock in place.

Install LC connectors on fibers. Install LC
connectors on ends of fibers as described
in installation instructions.
Wrap fiber as shown, with a generous bend radius.
The Field Terminated Cassette will accept most
connector styles with short boots or without boots.

Prepare feeder cable for installation. Remove 23-25 inches (58.42-63.5cm) of the feeder
cable jacket, exposing 12 individual fibers. 12 fibers can be installed in each side of the Field
Terminated Cassette.

Work on one side of the
cassette at a time.
NOTE:

If the cassette is already equipped with a
colored adapter pack cover, then skip
step 5. If not, add color label to cassette.
An adhesive label with four color choices
is provided to identify cassette fiber and
connector type.
Apply to center adapter
cover as shown.

If a 24-fiber feeder cable is used, pass 12 fibers through the center
wall to the other side of the cassette.

Install the feeder fiber in the splice cassette. Place feeder fiber in foam wrap near end of fiber jacket. Secure the forward cable tie around fiber and foam wrap.
Then secure the rearward cable tie around fiber, foam wrap, and strength members. Snip end off cable ties.
