DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS ASSESSMENT
Attached is a letter from The Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) outlining the
official assessment rates to be applied to policies effective July 1, 2013 and thereafter.
Carriers are again reminded that the DIA developed a separate algorithm to assist the
insurance community in understanding the components included in the DIA’s definition
of standard premium as outlined in 452 CMR 7.00. A copy of the DIA Assessment
Premium Algorithm can be found in WCRIBMA Circular Letter 2011.
