This course introduces students to the basics of plumbing. Topics include installation and
maintenance of piping, fittings, valves along with tool safety and standard practices in the plumbing
industry. Upon completion, students should be able to install and maintain basic plumbing systems,
components, and fixtures. This class consists of classroom work as well as work in the plumbing lab.
This year, classes have met each Tuesday and Thursday on the main campus of Alamance
Community College from 5-8 p.m., with the first level beginning in the Fall and then both first and
second levels offered during the Spring semester. Students may also be able to earn a high school
elective Apprenticeship credit.

ACC is also waiving the $180 course fee for Alamance-
Burlington School system students so this course is FREE when
completing a scholarship application!
